Four years ago, Aceh has been swept by the greatest tsunami wave of the century.
Four days ago, December 28, 2014, AirAsia Flight QZ8501 disappeared on its way to Singapore from Surabaya. Today, on the fourth day of search and recovery, BASARNAS only discovered seven bodies and debris, 10 Km from where the plane had made their last contact. The search has slowed down by bad weather over the location at Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan.
The only thing that came to my mind since yesterday's devastating video on local TV was the orange emergency sliders/life raft, floating on open sea. It left me stunned for the rest of the night.
This morning, I quickly sketched the storyboard and painted eighteen 8,5x5,5 cm drawing cartridge and worked things out on Photoshop Timeline feature. iMovie went wonky for this job.
To me the accident sounds similar to David Bowie's Space Oddity
"And I think my spaceship knows which way to go, tell my wife I love her very much, "she knows. Ground Control to Major Tom, your circuit's dead, there's something wrong. Can you hear me, Major Tom?"
All my thoughts and prayers for the passengers, crew and families of Air Asia #QZ8501.
